COOK BLOG: Maja Mais




Hello mga Bradz, Eto na ang paborito ng nakakarami ang maja mais. Good eto para sa desssert or merienda and love na love din eto ng mga kids. Madaling syang gawin and it only takes 15-20 minutes cooking time.So let's start to cook Maja Mais.

5 cups         Coconut milk/Gata
2 cups         Cornstarch
1 cup           Sugar
1 can           Evaporated Milk
1 can           Corn kernel
2 cups           Water (pang dissolve ng cornstarch)
2 cups water

Garnish

Grated cheese



COOKING UTENSILS

Cooking pot/Kaserola
Grater
Spatula

PREPARATION:

  • Ilagay sa kaserola coconut milk,corn kernel,2 cups water.
  • Ilagay ang asukal sa mixture at tunawin
  • Isalang sa kalan hanggang kumulo
  • Tunawin ang cornstarch sa 2 cups water.
  • Ilagay ang tinunaw na cornstarch sa kumukulong coconut milk.
  • Haluin ng haluin ang mixture hanggang sa makuha na ang desired thickness ng mixture.
  • Hanguin ang mixture at ilagay sa mold,Iflatten ang mixture gamit ang spatula or wooden spoon
  •  Palamigin at ilagay ang grated cheese para sa garnish, pede din lagyan ng latik but it is only optional.





Ready na ang ating creamy maja mais  and i'm sure magugustuhan to ng mga kiddos, this recipe is not to sweet but you can adjust the sweetness according to your taste. Napakadali lang lutuin ng recipe na ito at budget friendly

FOOD BLOG: CAFE DE DOLORES



Many pilgrims and devotees are going to mass every Sunday or first Friday at the national Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrow in Dolores Quezon. As we see Dolores is a small town with not much restaurant and fastfood. I am going to give you a brief overview of  a restaurant in Dolores Quezon just beside the church.

Cafe de Dolores opened just a year ago and a popular place for bikers ,The interior of the cafe is artistically designed with paintings  for visual  satisfaction.










They have a wide variety of choices from their Menu that is quite affordable, Some of the choices are recipes originally from Quezon like their tamis anghang chami. What is different from this cafe is that they are serving Mushroom burger which is of course different from the regular burger that have beef patties. It is kind of a very good choice for vegetarians. As a native of Quezon I tried Chami's from different restaurant and I guess they have to improve more in their flavor. I like their mango Shake , it is really tasty and creamy.

  


             


During our visit to the cafe we ordered mushroom steak ( It tastes really good), beef mami, tamis anghang chami and mushroom burger with kamote fries ( Take note to all fries lover this is not your ordinary fries), And for our beverage with ordered mango shake and mais con yelo.

Birthday Celebration- National Shrine of our Lady of Sorrow

Not the usual birthday party with birthday cakes and fancy foods. This year is a bit different for me. It's been a year of struggle and trials , where sometimes all I wanna do is give up and  forget about the things that I want to do. Sometimes depression hits me really hard because of all the problems that I encountered ,be it work problems, business problem, family problem, financial problem and heart problem. The thing that really keeps me going is my faith in God, I know everything will be fine if i just believe in him and hang on to his mercy.

For my birthday I planned it to be different, I celebrated it with my daughter and my partner by visiting the Dolores Shrine or known as The national Shrine of our lady of Sorrow. When I was a child my parents almost lost me because of an illness and my grandma devoted me to Our lady of Sorrow for 9 Fridays and here I am , so much alive and kicking. Another miracle from this shrine is my cousin Carl, at  2 years old he was unable to walk because of he also encounter near death experience when he was born and he also suffered from sepsis that affected his development. His first step happened at the entrance of the church and after that he can walk normally.I really believe that the shrine is really the best place for those who are in sorrow and looking for comfort and miracle.

Our lady or Sorrow Shrine is Located in Dolores Quezon, just near the Dolores Market. There is a celebration every Good Friday or known as Biernes de Dolores to honor Mary the queen of Sorrows.If you are commute going to the Shrine you have to go via Tiaong jeep terminal but just a reminder they don't have trips after lunch. If you are going to the Shrine After lunch then you have to rent a trike which will cost you more, for my trip I paid the trike 200 php going to the church.









At the church gate there are some vendors who are selling candles with different colors, Each candle color correspond to different prayer offering like thanksgiving prayer, prayer for health, prayer for family.There is also a stair leading to a room where you can kiss the veil of our lady of sorrow.

There is nothing wrong in believing miracle, each morning when you wake up is a miracle from God, you just have to have faith in him.

COOK BLOG: cordon bleu





Hello again mga Bradz, andito na nman tayo sa isang editiong ng aking Food Blog and ngaun ay maggagawa tayo ng cordon bleu. Napakadali lang gawin ng cordon bleu at isa eto sa best seller nmin sa aming catering na  Bradz Cuisine. Sa mga mamshies na nahihirapang magpakain sa mga pihikan nilang kiddos you can try this dish at tiyak na magugustuhan to ng mga anak nyo dahil eto ay isang magandang alternative sa fried chicken na alam naman nating all time favorite ng mga bata. So lets start na sa ating pagluluto ng Cordon Bleu and here is the list of Ingredients.

INGREDIENTS:

1/2kl.        Chicken Fillet
1 pack       Ham
1 Pack       Cheese
2pieces      eggs

seasoning
All purpose flour
Bread Crumbs
Cooking Oil









COOKING UTENSILS
Steamer
Frying pan

PREPARATION:
  • I flat at panipisin ang chicken fillet para mas madali syang i roll
  • lagyan ng seasoning ang chicken fillet pwede lagyan ng salt or paminta.
  • Ilagay ang ham sa ibabaw ng fillet (pwede hatiin ang ham sa gitna kug nagtitipid ☺)
  • Gayatin ang cheese ng tamang laki ang parang mini dos por dos ( pede din gumamit ng cheese na panglagay sa burger and mas maganda kung eden cheese ang ilalagay)
  • I rolyo ang fillet at lagyan ng flour paagkatapos ay ilagay sa steamer para i steam ng 10 minutes.(Note: pwede din syang hindi i steam pero mas makakatulong ang na steam ng fish fillet para mas kumapit ang breadings at hindi sya bumuka habang piniprito)
  • Pagkatapos i steam ang fillet pagulungin to sa harina, itlog at bread crumbs at iprito sa kumukulong mantika.
  • Kapag brownish na ang balat ang fillet pwede na sya tanggaling sa mantika at ilagay sa pinggan na may papre towel or wax paper para masipsip ang natitirang mantika.
  • Gayatin sya ng pa para mas amging presentable kapag isinerve.



OPTIONAL:

Mushroom sauce:
Pwede kayo gumawa ng mushroom sauce bumili lang ng mushroom soup ng knorr, tunawin sa tubig at lagyan ng paminta at pakuluan hanggang lumapot.

White sauce
Sa Pagluluto ng white sauce kailangan nyo maglagay ng i tbsp of butter sa kawali and lagyan ng all purpose cream at tubid. I season sya ng konting salt and pepper at konting sugar then pakuluin hanggang lumapot.







Meron na tayong masarap na Cordon bleu and napakadali lang lutin di ba? Pwedeng pwede din itong ihanda sa mga special ocassions like birthday, anniversary o binyag , mas makakamura kayo sa putaheng ito kc kokonti lang ang ingredients nya.

FOODBLOG: How To cook Puto





Hello mga Bradz!!! Kumusta nman ang ating mga tummy, grabe yung panahon ngayon sobrang maulan at isa sa pinakamasarap gawin kapag umuulan ay kumain (sorry diet see you next year).Ngaun ay susubukan natin na magluto ng puto, first time ko to na magluto ng puto pero don't worry magaling ako tsumamba..he..he..he. Ang gagawin nating puto ngaun ay puto na gawa sa all purpose flour , madali lang tong gawin kaya kahit yung mga di expert sa pagluluto ay kayang kaya tong gawin.

Simulan na natin ang pagluluto at ito ang mga kailangan natin.

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups            All purpose Flour
1 cup             Sugar
2                    eggs
1 1/3  cups     water
1 1/2   tbsp.   baking powder
1/2  tsp.         salt
1/2  cup         butter or margarine (melted)
1 small          cheese


UTENSILS:
Steamer
Mixing Bowl
Wire whisk
Spatula
Molder
Measuring cups and spoon

Paraan ng Pagluluto:


  • Lagyan ng tubig ang steamer at isalang sa stove para kumulo.
  • Sa mixing bowl ilagay ang 2 cups All purpose flour, 1 1/2 tbsp.baking powder at 1 cupsugar, haluin ng spatula para mag incorporate ang mga ingredients.
  • Ilagay ang melted butter o margarine sa mixture at haluin sya ng wire whisk, Siguraduhing mahahalo ng mabuti ang mixture para maging mukha syang cream.
  • Ilagay ang 1 1/3 cups ng water at 2 itlog at haluing mabuti hanggang sa wala ka ng makitang particles na buo buo.
  • Hatiin ang cheese ng tamang laki lamang para maging garnish 
  • Ilagay sa molder ang batter mixture at lagyan ng cheese sa ibabaw.
  • Lutuin sa steamer ang batter mixture ng 15-30 minutes.malalaman natin na luto na ang puto kung madali na itong maalis sa molder o kaya kapag tinusok mo ng tooth pick ay wala na sumasamang particles.

Hola... Luto na ang puto mo at napakadali lang talaga. makakagawa ka ng 50 pirasong puto kapag gagamitin mo sya ng katamtamang laki na molder. masarap kaulam ang puto sa dinuguan o kaya nman ay kapares ng kape...masarap to lalo na sa malamig na panahon. Pede din lagyan ng itlog na pula sa ibabaw ng puto kung mas special na puto ang gusto mo lutuin.

Madali lang magluto kung may passion ka sa pagluluto. Dapat lang maging sensitive ang panlasa natin upang  malaman natin kung tama na ba ang lasa ng niluluto natin. Huwag matakot mag experiment ing iba't ibang putahe malay mo maka discover ka ng bagong recipe.That's it pancit for my puto recipe.
