Hallo! Guten Tag! Danke.... Welcome to Germany
I never thought that I would be given a chance to visit this place and this is my first international travel.Though my travel time is more than a day because of the long stop in Doha it is all worth it. Germany is a really beautiful country.
I got a chance to visit this country when my employer ask me to attend the ICEF conference 2016 in Berlin. At first I got so nervous because of the visa process I am not confident that I will ace up the interview but I got the Schengen visa after a week. ICEF conference is a yearly conference attended by Educators, agency and service providers and as an International student recruitment officer for Zoom Abroad I met some of the big Universities and Colleges Around the world.
Germany experience is really new for me I been there during the Autumn season and it is really cold, of course, it is cold for me because I am from a country that doesn't have an autumn season but the view during the autumn season is really breathtaking. Hi ways in Germany are really wide they have like 5 lanes so there is no traffic. What amaze me is that some of the car here in the Philippines which we consider as luxury car is just a cab in Germany of course Germany is home to some of the big car brands like mercedez, Ferrari and BMW. If you want to tour popular places in Germany you can take the hop in hop off tour wherein the bus will tour you to popular places in Germany, sadly I was not able to do that because after my visit to Bonn I have to fly back home though I still have a lot of time like 5 hour before my flight the information guy in the airport advice me that if I take the hop in hop-off tour I might miss my flight so I took the bus from the airport for only 7 euros and I can roam around Berlin. it is like a back forth bus ticket, you can hop in to a bus and visit one place and then you can take another bus without paying anything.it is some kind of an adventure for me because i am not familiar with the place so I am making sure that i ask around and always look for a bus with a Te gel Airport sign so I make sure that I can go back to the airport.
The first attraction that i visited in Germany is the Brandenburg Gate ,It is Berlin's famous landmark. A symbol of berlin a
When I visited Bonn i stayed in Marriot hotel conference center which is closed to UN building and has a breathtaking view of the river Rhine which is the longest river in Europe and flows through six countries- Switzerland, Principality of Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, France, and the Netherlands before flowing into the North Sea at Rotterdam.
being in a country where English is not a primary language it is difficult but don't be shy to ask around if you don't know where you are going because you might get lost. There is a lot of Signage in germany that is alo translated in English so make it a habit to read signs for you reference. Anyway though my Germany escapade is brief and work related I really had fun and i want to visit this country again in the future.
